A mint pair of Federal Period Nanking crackle glaze mini ginger jars with lids, featuring scenes of warriors with great face-shaped shields and mountain scenes, hand painted in enamel and all matching. The chop mark on the base is apocryphal, as is common, referring to the 16th century dynasty. They have nice seemingly unglazed bands around the bodies, with subtle sgraffito decoration incised in brown clay. First half of the 20th century, and in like-new condition.
