A striking art pottery cabinet vase with abstract decoration in subtle browns, purple, and more, on a cream-colored heavy main glaze. Signed Gobble on the base, no date, but likely early 2000 or before. Clyde Gobble was a well-known artist from Lexington; he died in 2014.) Flat-sided, about seven inches across the wider side, five across the shorter side. The decoration reminds me very much of the Cymric line devoloped by Newlyn Pottery in Wales. Mint condition. Shown next to a substantial bronze piece to get a sense of scale.
