Vintage Penn Long Beach Fishing Reel with Wood and Steel Rod Early Deep Sea Rig

A vintage Penn Long Beach deep-sea reel, in good working condition, with a beautifully patinated turned wood rod with a steel shaft. The rod may be Penn, given that they appear to have always been mates, but any insignia has worn off. The wood butt rotates for ease of fish-fighting, and it's a really nice example of a deep sea rod before fiberglass (ugh) and composites took over. A great piece of fishing decor, or better yet, take it for a spin! Very minor chrome tarnish inside, but great shape overall. 5 feet, roughly, and breaks down into two pieces. Cleaned, but not "serviced," so a tune-up wouldn't hurt.
