An excellent and classic South Carolina Sea Island Gullah basket, large at ten inches across and twelve inches high, in the iconic split-handle form. Unsure of the date but it's been in my collection for 25 years (and I was not to original owner), so it's pre-2000 with certainty, likely 1990s. Excellent condition, and a great addition to any Gullah basket collection or fine bit of decor for those who appreciate the nearly two centuries of traditional skills embodied in this fine example of the form.
