Hand turned stoneware crock with wire bale handle circa 1902

A nice little brown and white storage crock, dated post 1901 on the lid, and exceptionally rare in that it's a hand-turned piece, as clearly indicated by the rings on the interior. Even the key on the wire bale looks like a hand-forged piece. Stamped with a "Z"; not sure what that means. One quart, and works great. There are a couple of minor firing flaws and wear around the top where the wire secures the lid, but essentially mint.
