A nice little early 19th century snuff box, appears to be lacquer over papier mache or board, inset with mother of pearl chips on the lid. A couple of age-related breaks have been repaired, but it's solid and sound, and the lid fits snugly. A few chips missing from the lid, as pictured. Three inches long by one deep ond nearly two front to back. A pretty little bit of tobacciana from well over 200 years ago, and a nice addition to any trinket box collection.
