Cast Bronze "Tollund-Krukkun" Jar by Peter Brandes (d. 2025) no. 25/200 11 Inches Danish Figural Modernist Scandinavian Sculpture

A fine cast bronze by the late Danish artist Peter Brandes, well known for his massive ceramic jars, affinity for Greek mythology, the influence of his native area via "bog people" and other archeological findings, and early Christian imagery, all encapsulated in his well-known Tollund-Krukkun jar, cast in an edition of 200 only. 11 inches tall, on a black stone plinth, and extremely thick and heavy for a bronze. Free shipping lower 48 only. As for recent sales, an earlier casting went for 4 figures in late 2025, and a later one (I think 36) for significantly more than the asking price. An excellent piece from a recently lost polymath of the Danish art world.
