Antique Sailboat Rudder Great Nautical Decor

A lovely old wood and brass rudder, likely for a small sailboat but possibly for some other small, hand-steered boat. Rudder is 33 inches by 10 across; the handle is 28 inches long. It's 58 inches long (!) fully extended. It has a split near the handle connection, under the top brass fitting, but it could easily be dealt with if you want to use it; it's not loose, and has an earlier repair. Looks like early/mid 20th century, with nice patinated hardware. It would be ideal as a "welcome to" sign or a beach/lake house outside sign, or as a top-notch piece of nautical decor (my preference, given the quality, but you do you!).
