Burl Wood Shaving Stand 19th Century Signed Mint Highly Figured Veneer

An absolutely striking burlwood veneer shaving stand in excellent condition. Mid-19th century, 19” height x 14.5” width x 9.25” depth. Beautiful high grade burl veneer throughout, with an oval mirror supported by two finely turned posts in what looks like a fruitwood, and a satinwood and ebony star inlay on the top, sitting on four turned feet and with an ebonized knob on the drawer. Radius form drawer with dovetail construction; it fits so well that the wood inside still looks freshly cut (a sign of quality craftsmanship, since no air penetrates to allow oxidation); there's an indiscernible signature on the bottom of the drawer. A couple of age-related shrinkage cracks in the veneer (no loss or looseness). Will likely ship via FedEx or UPS; they tend to be cheaper with slightly oversized pieces like this (any overage will be refunded, of course).
