A fine early salt-glazed stoneware jug, North Carolina Piedmont, with an amazing blistered bubbly texture. Glass runs to the top, and even a bit of blue glass in a cinder. Early, and in great condition. Approximately one gallon, but no capacity mark. Apart from some very minor chips the only "damage" is from bubbles popping in the kiln, but the bubbles are what makes it so cool. About 12 inches tall, 7 across.
