A spectacular museum quality Randolph County area redware jug, lead glazed with iron or manganese tint, circa 1780-1810, in amazing near-mint condition given its age (shown next to a slightly later NFS globular redware jug from Southwest Virginia/East Tennessee). Three very minor fleabites but inconsequential given its age. An historically important piece; you won't find a better example outside of the MESDA or the Mint Museum in Charlotte. An especially early piece judging by the the shape, and quite simply the best North Carolina redware jug on the market.
