A spectacular museum quality Randolph County area redware jug, lead glazed with iron or manganese tint, circa 1780-1810, in amazing near-mint condition given its age (shown next to a slightly later NFS globular redware jug from Southwest Virginia/East Tennessee). Three very minor fleabites but inconsequential given its age. An historically important piece; you won't find a better example outside of the MESDA or the Mint Museum in Charlotte. A very early piece judging by the the shape, and quite simply the best North Carolina redware jug on the market, period.
