Striking vase by Tilgmans, a Swedish pottery operating in the 60s and 70s, with a magnificent rough multicolored glaze lava glaze dominated by purple, with an orange collar and thick inside yellow glaze. The glaze has a textured feel that really resembles tree bark, and is a fine example of the "fat lava" glaze style from the late 1960s and 1970s. A good size, at about seven inches tall by seven wide (a mid-sized table vase, in other words, not a "mini" vase). A stunning bit of mid-century classic decor that will add a colorful flair to any room. Mint condition; still has part of the company label attached.
