Vintage plaster corbels, featuring a woman (likely Artemis or Diana of Greek and Roman mythology) surrounded by foliage and acorns. Early 20th century, and shows plenty of signs of wear, but beyond the bit of chipping they're in great shape, no breaks, solid and heavy. They've seen many a paint touch-up over the years, and coupled with the dirt and dust of a hundred years they're a pleasant walnut brown with bronze highlights, which is a good approximation of the gilt wood corbels that the plaster ones were meant to mimic. (They aren't as shiny as they appear in the photos; that's from the flash, mainly.) Firm hooks set in the top; they're rock-solid. I've seen the form before, but rare to find a surviving pair. They're eleven inches tall, just over seven deep and six across.
