Vintage Chinese Tea Caddy large pewter master caddy for bulk tea with top dispenser

Large "Master" tea caddy in pewter, with brass ribs; bulk tea is emptied into the large canister top for use as needed. It's very large and heavy (a couple of pounds), 10 inches tall by 5 by 4 across the base, embossed with flower blossoms on the main panels, and bamboo on the sides. You can tell the quality by the satisfying "thonk" sound it makes when you remove the lid; it's air-tight. (I wouldn't have known what this was used for if I hadn't seen one Antiques Roadshow.) Made in Hong Kong, likely from the 1950s. Perfect for storing any bulk dry items, be it tea or not!
