Scary Rabbits Vintage Folk Art Carvings, a Pair, "That rabbit's dynamite!"

Pair of folk art carved rabbits, one (the alien-looking one) in walnut, the other (the angry-looking one) in pine? Selling as a set; they're bonded companions. Not haunted or cursed (to my knowledge) but they do exude a menacing aura that, given that they're bunny rabbits, is more quirky and charming than disturbing. Just. The walnut rabbit is more finely carved and from a single block; the older rabbit has ears separately carved and inserted and metal tacks for eyes, with varnish wear to the aged surface. The walnut rabbit is from the estate of C.P. Squires, a noted local (Ashe County, NC) woodcarver, probably 1980s; other's origin unknown, but looks like 1960s or 1970s work. Each is about five inches long; taller one is four and a half inches in height. Both are substantial, not slight (not fat shaming, just saying they're solid). Will not multiply, so there's that.
