Sterling Salt and Pepper shakers, two pairs, Reed and Barton, one w/o maker's mark

Two pairs of sterling over glass salt and pepper shakers, one Reed & Barton (numbered 49 on base), the other not named, just "Patent Applied For" (so maybe an earlier silver-over-glass set?). The Reed & Barton salt shaker has some minor salt damage, most noticeable on the base (so out of sight), and the other set has a slight dent in one of the caps, and also has nice beading around the base and shoulder. R&B salt also appears to have had a gilded top, which is still apparent but has worn a good deal (to silver, no biggie). Reed & Barton set is 5 inches tall, second set is 4.5 inches.
